Everyone is questioning who will be the captain of Quetta Gladiators and now QG disclosed that Saud Shakeel appointed as the Captain of Quetta Gladiators for PSL 10. Saud Shakeel, vice-captain of the Pakistan test team, is known as the test player and he was also part of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. After that World Cup, he was not considered for the ODI team, and can say that he was out of the plan for the ODI team.
Rilee Rossouw, Left-hand batter from South Africa, led the Quetta Gladiators in season 9 and he is replaced with Saud Shakeel. QG is suffering from bad performance from the PSL season 2021 and can qualify for playoffs for only one season i.e., PSL season 9 2024. QG takes a bold step to appoint this young player which can change the fortune of this team.

Saud Shakeel is known as the test match specialist player and he will open the innings for the Quetta Gladiators for season 10. Can Saud be fit for the opening responsibility? The question will be answered once the PSL 10 will start.

Saud Shakeel has played 10 matches and scored 323 runs with an average of 35.88 & strike rate of 141.6. Saud Shakeel represented only Quetta Gladiators in the PSL 2018, 2019, 2023 & 2024.
Saud Shakeel in International Matches
Saud Shakeel, a left-handed batter, debuted in 2021 and played the 1st ODI against England. In 2022, was the time, when Saud debuted in the test against England. He hasn’t played any international T20 match yet. He played 31 international matches and scored 1821 runs with the test’s highest score of 208 not out.
Saud will lead the Quetta Gladiators in HBL Pakistan Super League 2025 and it will start from 9th April 2025.
