PSL 2024-PCB Announces New Categories For Local Players

PSL 2024-PCB Announces New Categories for local Players in their renewal process for the upcoming edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League 2024. The Pakistan Cricket Board already opened a registration window for new foreign players as well. The main event is scheduled from “February 8, 2024 to March 24, 2024,”.

Naseem Shah and Iftikhar Ahmed are the key players for QG, both Quetta Gladiators players have been upgraded from Diamond to Platinum. Sarfraz Ahmed, the Captain of QG has been moved to Diamond from Gold. In the Peshawar Zalmi team 2024, the wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Haris has been shifted to Diamond from Gold. Salman Irshad the fast bowler of PZ, has been moved to Gold from Silver.

Multan Sultans fast bowlers Abbas Afridi and Ihsanullah, both players have been promoted to the Gold category, after playing as an Emerging player in the PSL season 8.

When we talk about the PSL 2024 Islamabad United team, IU upgraded the wicket-keeper-batter Azam Khan and pace all-rounder Faheem Ashraf from the Gold to the Diamond category. Zeeshan Zamir has shifted from Emerging to Silver, while Mubasir Khan has shifted from Emerging to Gold.

In the Karachi Kings squad for PSL 9, Tayyab Tahir has upgraded from Silver to Gold, while Qasim Akram has been upgraded to Gold from the Emerging category. In the Lahore Qalandars team squad, Kamran Ghulam and Zaman Khan have been transferred to Gold from silver and emerging categories, respectively.

Some players promoted to the upper category while some players have been demoted as well. Mohammad Nawaz is the QG all-rounder who moved to the diamond category from platinum. Mohammad Hasnain is the pace bowler of QG, demoted to the gold category from diamond. Haider Ali, who traded between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings in the last edition of PSL 8. He is demoted to the gold category from platinum. Asif Ali, the power hitter of the IU team, has been demoted to the diamond category from platinum.

Islamabad United Category Renewal for PSL 2024

Shadab Khan is in the Platinum category. Asif Ali, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Hasan Ali, Azam Khan, and Faheem Ashraf, these players are in the Diamond Category. Sohaib Maqsood, Abrar Ahmed, Rumman Raees, Zafar Gohar, and Mubasir Khan, these players are in the Gold category. Zeeshan Zamir is in Silver category. Hassan Nawaz is in the Emerging category.

Karachi Kings Category Renewal for PSL 2024

Imad Wasim is in the Platinum category. Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Amir are both in the Diamond category. Haider Ali, Aamir Yamin, Sharjeel Khan, Mir Hamza, Tayyab Tahir, Musa Khan, and Qasim Akram, all are in the Gold category. Mohammad Ikhlaq, Mohammad Umar, and Akif Javed are in the Silver category. Irfan Khan Niazi, and Faisal Akram, both are in the Emerging category.

Lahore Qalandars Category Renewal for PSL 2024

Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Fakhar Zaman, these players are in the Platinum category.  Hussain Talat, Abdullah Shafique, Kamran Ghulam, Mirza Tahir Baig, and Zaman Khan, these all players in the Gold category. Dilbar Hussain, Ahmed Daniyal, Ahsan Bhatti, and Jalat Khan, players are in the Silver categories. Shawaiz Irfan is in the Emerging category.

Multan Sultans Category Renewal for PSL 2024

Mohammad Rizwan is in the Platinum category. Shan Masood, Khushdil Shah, and Usama Mir are in the Diamond category. Abbas Afridi, Ihsanullah, Arafat Minhas, Shahnawaz Dahani, and Anwar Ali, are the players who are in the Gold category. Sameen Gul, Sarwar Afridi, Ammad Butt, and Mohammad Ilyas, are in the Silver category.

Peshawar Zalmi Category Renewal for PSL 2024

Babar Azam is in the Platinum category. Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Haris, and Saim Ayub are in the Diamond category. Danish Aziz, Arshad Iqbal, Aamer Jamal, Salman Irshad, Usman Qadir, Harris Sohail, and Sufyan Muqeem, all are in the Gold category. Khurram Shahzad is in the Silver category. Haseebullah, and Saad Masood, both players are in the Emerging category.

Quetta Gladiators Category Renewal for PSL 2024
