Overseas Players signed up for HBL PSL 10 Player Draft as the registration window is open for the PSL 10 Player Draft for international cricketers from all around the world. The Pakistan Super League authority has started the campaign to unveil the international cricketers through its social media accounts who registered themselves for the PSL Player Draft 2025. On Tuesday 24th December 2024, the PSL management unveiled that David Willey, Usman Khawaja & Jason Roy signed up for the HBL PSL 10 Player Draft which is going to be held on 11th January 2025 in Gwadar.
Left-hand top-order batter Usman Khawaja from Australia, left-arm fast bowler David Willey & right-hand top-order batter Jason Roy have already participated in the Pakistan Super League in the past.
David Willey
The left-arm fast bowler David Willey has represented England in One Day Internationals and T20 Internationals. David Willey was also part of England’s T20 World Cup 2022 winning squad and he announced his retirement from international cricket on November 01, 2023, after the Cricket World Cup 2023.
David Willey has represented Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League in 2022 and 2024 and impressed with his all-round performance. David Willey was very impressive with his bowling in the PSL 9 2024 and became the 4th highest wicket-taker of the tournament. David Willey has played 19 matches in Pakistan Super League so far where he took 28 wickets with an average of 18.35, at a strike rate of 14.25 with an economy of just 7.72.
Usman Khawaja
The left-hand top-order batter has represented Australia in all three formats of the game at international level and has played 76 tests, 40 ODIs, and 09 T20Is for Australia. Usman Khawaja was part of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-2023 winning team of Australia.
Usman Khawaja has represented Islamabad United in Pakistan Super League season 6 2021. Usman Khawaja has played 7 matches in PSL 6 2021 where he scored 246 runs with an average of 49.20, at a strike rate of 152.7, and also scored an unbeaten 105 against Peshawar Zalmi.
Jason Roy
The right-hand top-order explosive batter has represented England in all three formats of cricket at the international level and has played 5 tests, 116 ODIs, and 64 T20Is for England. Jason Roy was part of England’s winning team in the Cricket World Cup 2019 and was also part of the England side in the T20 World Cup 2016.
Jason Roy is a seasoned campaigner in the Pakistan Super League. Jason Roy represented Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League 2017 and then moved to Quetta Gladiators and represented in PSL 2018, 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Jason Roy has played 38 matches in the Pakistan Super League where he scored 1260 runs with an average of 36.0 at a strike rate of 146.5. Jason Roy smashed record unbeaten 145 of just 63 balls against Peshawar Zalmi in a record chase of 241 runs.
HBL PSL-10 player draft will be held on January 11, 2025, in Gwadar and more international cricketers will sign up ahead of the draft. The 10th edition of Pakistan Super League 2025 will start in April 2025 in Pakistan.
