On Thursday 26th December 2024, the PSL revealed through its official social media accounts that more international players registered for PSL 10 player draft, this time Dawid Malan, Shakib al Hasan, and Alex Carey. This Player Draft is scheduled to be held on January 11, 2025, in Gwadar.
The registration window for international players from all over the world is open for the HBL PSL 10 Player Draft. More names of international players have been unveiled now by the Pakistan Super League after David Willey, Jason Roy, Usman Khawaja, Mustafizur Rahman, Sikandar Raza, and Tom Curran. Left-hand opening-batter, Dawid Malan from England, Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib al Hasan, and left-hand wicketkeeper batter Alex Carey from Australia have registered themselves for the PSL 10 player draft.
Dawid Malan
Dawid Malan has signed up for the PSL 10 player draft 2025, the left-hand top-order batter has represented England on the international stage in all three different formats of cricket and has played 22 tests, 30 ODIs and 62 T20Is for England. Dawid Malan suddenly announced his early retirement from international cricket in 2024. He also participated in the different T20 leagues all over the world and has earned his name on the big stage of cricket through his batting.
Dawid Malan in PSL: Dawid Malan represented Peshawar Zalmi in 2016, 2017 & 2019, Islamabad United in 2020, and Multan Sultans in the 2024 season of the Pakistan Super League. Dawid Malan has played 25 matches in PSL where he scored 631 runs with an average of 28.68 at a strike rate of 122.2 and his best score in PSL is 64.
Shakib al Hasan
All-rounder Shakib al Hasan has signed up for the PSL 10 player draft 2025 and he represented Bangladesh in all three formats at the international level and has played 71 tests, 247 ODIs, and 129 T20Is for Bangladesh. Shakib al Hasan, the star all-rounder, has already played in the Pakistan Super League and also participated in other different T20 leagues all over the world.
Shakib al Hasan in PSL: Shakib al Hasan represented Karachi Kings in the inaugural PSL in 2016 and then joined Peshawar Zalmi in PSL-2 (2017) and PSL-8 (2023) and played a vital role for his team with both ball and bat. Shakib al Hasan has played a total of 14 matches in the Pakistan Super League where he scored 181 runs with an average of 16.45 at a strike rate of 107.1 while his highest score is 51 with the bat. Moreover, he also took 8 wickets in the Pakistan Super League with an average of 34.00 at a strike rate of 27 and an economy of 7.66.
Alex Carey
Alex Carey has signed up for the PSL 10 player draft 2025, the left-hand wicket-keeper batter has represented Australia in all three formats of the game at the international level and has played 35 tests, 76 ODIs, and 38 T20Is for Australia so far.
Alex Carey was part of Australia’s winning team of the Cricket World Cup 2023 & ICC World Test Championship 2021-2023. He has also participated in Big Bash & IPL. Alex Carey will appear for the 1st time ever in Pakistan Super League 2025 if he is picked in the PSL 10 player draft.
The Pakistan Super League 10 2025 player draft is set to be held on 11-01-2025 in Gwadar for the first time. More overseas players are likely to register themselves in the player draft. The 10th season of Pakistan Super League 2025 is going to start on 7th April 2025 in Pakistan.
