PCB revealed HBL PSL 10 Player Draft Pick Order

On Monday 23rd December 2024, PCB revealed the HBL PSL 10 Player Draft Pick Order for all six franchises as the date of the Player Draft for HBL PSL 10 2025 is closing in. The pick order of the 1^st round of the platinum category of the PSL 10 2025 player draft is arranged in the reverse order of the team’s standings in the HBL PSL season 9.

Therefore, as per team standings of the HBL PSL 09, the sixth-placed Lahore Qalandars (LQ) will have the 1st pick, whereas the 5^th placed Karachi Kings (KK) will make the 2^nd pick in the 1^st round of the platinum category of PSL 10 2025 player draft. Accordingly, the 3^rd and 4^th picks will be done by Quetta Gladiators (QG) and Peshawar Zalmi (PZ) respectively.

The runner-up of the HBL PSL 9 2024 Multan Sultans (MS) will have the 5^th pick in the pick order and the winner of the previous season of HBL PSL 2024 Islamabad United (IU) will have the sixth and last pick in the first round of the platinum category of the PSL-10 2025 player draft.

First Pick in the First Round of Each Category for Each Franchise

The PSL authority has placed each of the six franchises to occupy the first pick in the first round of each of the six categories of the HBL PSL 2025 Player Draft in order to make the PSL 10 Player Draft Pick Order rightful and fairer. The Platinum Category’s first pick of the first round will be taken by the Lahore Qalandars (LQ) while Diamond Category’s first pick of the first round will be taken by Karachi Kings (KK).

Accordingly, the first pick in the first round in the Gold Category will be taken by Peshawar Zalmi (PZ), and Multan Sultan (MS) will take their first pick in the Silver Category’s first round. Consequently, Quetta Gladiators (QG) occupies the first pick in the first round of the Emerging Category and Islamabad United (IU) will take their first pick in the first round of the Supplementary Category of the HBL PSL-10 2025 Player Draft.

The management of the Pakistan Super League and Pakistan Cricket Board has already opened the window of registration for overseas players to participate in the HBL PSL 10 Player Draft. The Player Draft for PSL-10 2025 is announced to take place on January 11, 2025, in the port city of Gwadar for the very first time.

The aim of the HBL PSL Draft is to shape up the squad of all franchises where the availability of cricketers for the tournament is also considered by the franchises before picking them in their squad. The scintillating T20 tournament HBL PSL 10 2025 will start from 8^th April 2025 to 19^th May 2025 in Pakistan.
