PSL Franchise Team Valuation Revealed – HBL PSL 2026

On Friday November 14, 2025, PSL franchise team valuation revealed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ahead of the 11th edition of the iconic T20 event. Six cities of Pakistan are short listed for the two new franchises of Pakistan Super League including Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Gilgit, Rawalpindi, Sialkot and Muzaffarabad. The tender process will be formally initiated soon for the sale of the ownership rights of the two new franchises.

The Cricket Board of Pakistan has also confirmed that the independent valuation process for the existing franchises of the Pakistan Super League and other commercial assets has been completed. Following the conclusion of this exercise, the PCB said “renewal offer letters reflecting the fees of new PSL franchises for the next ten years have been shared with all compliant franchises of Pakistan Super League, requesting them to revert with their decision within the specified timeline”.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also arranged individual and collective meetings between the representatives of franchise and the independent valuer to ensure full transparency and facilitates a clear understanding for the new PSL franchise team valuation. These meetings will allow PSL franchises to review the methodology of the valuation and discuss any query regarding the valuation.

Overview of the Proposed Cities

Six cities of Pakistan are finalized by the Pakistan Cricket Board for two new franchises of Pakistan Super League from the next edition of the event. PSL’s two new franchises will be named among these six cities including Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Sialkot and Hyderabad.

  • Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Sialkot cities are located in Punjab province of Pakistan.
  • Hyderabad city is located in the Sindh province of Pakistan.
  • Muzaffarabad is the largest and capital city of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. Whereas;
  • Gilgit is the capital city of the Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan.

Invitation for Bids

As you know that, PSL Franchise Team Valuation Revealed by the Pakistan Cricket Board, has invites bid from the interested parties who wish to buy rights of team franchise of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The documents of bid containing all relevant details of the franchises which are ready to obtain. 15th December 2025 is the deadline for the submission of technical proposals and only technically qualified bidders will be allowed to take part in the further process.

Final Thoughts

As like the previous edition, PCB plans to extend the PSL 11 to eight teams. In this contrast, the PCB issued the guidelines for the bidding process to choose the 7th & 8th team for the upcoming season of Pakistan Super League 2026. December 15th, 2025 will be the deadlines for the purposal for the next two teams and the process will be finished in January 2026. The PSL Draft 2026 will also plan in the February 2026.

The purposed window for the HBL PSL 11 will be in the April & May 2026 and this event will be played among the 8th teams and format will be the same as the previous editions. Lahore Qalandars (LQ) will defend their title in the 11th edition of PSL. LQ is the 2nd team after the Islamabad United, won the PSL title thrice. Now, they have the opportunity to win the title 4th time in the PSL history.
