The HBL Pakistan Super League season 9 2024 is in progress in four different cities of Pakistan i.e. Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Multan. The first leg of PSL 9 is finished in Lahore and Multan and now the stage is set in Karachi and Rawalpindi for the rest of the tournament. Now, it’s the time to watch the PSL 9 2024 playoffs qualification scenario and every team is eyeing to set their place in the playoffs.
As of today 10th March 2024 (till the end of the first match of the double-header), a total of 27 matches of the league stage have been played with full of exciting nail-biting contests among the PSL teams, and 3 matches are still to be played to conclude the league stage of PSL 9. The Cricket fans are eyeing the PSL 9 2024 Playoffs Qualification Scenario of their favorite HBL PSL team.
The Points Table of PSL 9 2024 is wide open for every team till now except Lahore Qalandars as they are out from the race of HBL PSL 9 Playoffs. Each of the six teams in PSL has to play 10 matches in the league stage of the tournament to place their berth in the playoffs. As of now, the PSL 9 2024 Playoffs Qualification Scenario by teams is given below:
1. Multan Sultans (MS)
Multan Sultans (MS) is the most consistent team of the HBL PSL 9 as they managed to win 7 out of their 10 matches so far which earned them 14 points with a healthy run rate and they are the first team to qualify for the PSL 9 Playoffs. Multan Sultans are topping the table.
2. Peshawar Zalmi (PZ)
Peshawar Zalmi has qualified for the PSL 9 playoffs as they are currently grabbing 2nd place in the points table of HBL PSL 9 with 13 points and a good run rate. Peshawar Zalmi has played 10 matches and managed to win 6 of them and lost 3 of them as well with 1 match washout.
3. Islamabad United (IU)
Islamabad United has qualified for the HBL PSL 9 Playoffs and they are currently standing at 3rd place in the points table of PSL 9 with 11 points and a decent run rate. Islamabad United are able to win 5 of their 10 matches of the league stage with 4 losses and 1 washout.
4. Quetta Gladiators (QG)
Quetta Gladiators (QG) is 4th on the PSL Points Table with 11 points and has a negative run rate. They managed to win 5 out of their 10 matches and 1 match was washed out due to rain. After the win against Lahore Qalandars in their 9th league match, Quetta Gladiators book their place in the playoffs of PSL 9.
5. Karachi Kings (KK)
Karachi Kings are in the 5th position of the PSL 9 Points Table with 8 points. They only managed to win 4 and lost 6 out of their 10 matches. Karachi Kings is also out of the race to qualify for the playoffs. After the win of Quetta Gladiators against the Lahore Qalandars, all the chances have ended for the Karachi Kings to enter the PSL 9 Playoffs. Karachi Kings are officially out of the race of qualification for PSL 9 playoffs.
6. Lahore Qalandars (LQ)
The defending champions Lahore Qalandars placed at the bottom of the points table of the PSL 9 with only 3 points. They played all of their 10 matches in the tournament and lost 8 out of their 10 matches and were able to win only 1 match with one match being washed out. Lahore Qalandar is eliminated officially from the race to qualify for the PSL 9 Playoffs.
