Following the renewal process of the category of local players, according to the list of players which were revealed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), these aforementioned three players were part of the Gold category of the HBL PSL 9 Draft. However, all of the aforementioned three players are now relegated to the Silver category from the Gold category ahead of the HBL PSL 9 Draft after the successful relegation requests of PSL franchises.
Sialkot-born 24-year-old Mirza Tahir Baig made his Pakistan Super League debut in the HBL PSL 2023 season 8 representing Lahore Qalandars (LQ). He was part of the Lahore Qalandars player’s development program. Mirza Tahir Baig played 10 matches in Pakistan Super League 2023 season 8 and scored 244 runs with an average of 24.40 at a strike rate of 127.75. His best score is 54 with one fifty to his name.
Karachi-born 32-year-old Left Hander medium fast bowler Rumman Raees made his Pakistan Super League debut in the very first edition of the HBL PSL in 2016. He mostly represented Islamabad United (IU) in HBL PSL from 2016 to 2021. He then joins Multan Sultan (MS) in 2022 for HBL PSL 2022 season 7 and returns to Islamabad United (IU) next year for HBL PSL 2023 season 8 and probably he will represent Islamabad United again in HBL PSL 9 2024.

He then joined Quetta Gladiators (QG) for HBL PSL seasons 2 and 3 in 2017 and 2018 respectively. Mir Hamza has played a total of only 13 matches in the Pakistan Super League where he took 13 wickets with an average of 24.69 at a strike rate of 17.46. His best bowling figure in HBL PSL is 4 for 27 in 4 overs against Lahore Qalandars (LQ) in HBL PSL 2022 Season 7.
