Bidders for the two new PSL teams include FKS Group, OZ Developers, Aim Next Incorporation, Deharki Sugar Mills, Inverex Solar, i2c, Jazz, VGO TEL, Walee Pakistan, and Prism Developers. Whereas, Deharki Sugar Mills, led by Ali Tareen (ex-owner of Multan Sultans), pulled out from the auction process earlier on the auction day and announced his decision on his social media account on X (formerly known as Twitter).
The auction process consisted of two rounds: the first round was for the 7th PSL team, and the second round was for the 8th PSL team. The base price for the first franchise from the auction (the seventh team being added to PSL) was set at RS. 1.1 billion, while the base price for the second franchise (the eighth team being added to PSL) was set at RS. 1.7 billion.
FSK Group won the first round of the auction with a bid of RS. 1.75 billion, FSK Group was involved in a bid war with i2c, which set its final bid at RS. 1.7 billion. Hence, the 7th franchise to be added to PSL, i.e., Hyderabad, goes to FSK Group. Whereas, the second round of auction for the 8th PSL team (the second team of the auction) was won by OZ Developers with a bid of RS. 1.85 billion, they were involved in the bid war with the same i2c, whose final bid was RS. 1.82 billion. Subsequently, the 8th franchise to be added to the PSL, i.e., Sialkot, goes to OZ Developers.

Hyderabad and Sialkot will be the two new HBL PSL franchises, bought by FSK Group in RS. 1.75 billion and OZ Developers in RS. 1.85 billion, respectively. Both the franchises (Hyderabad and Sialkot) will be part of the Pakistan Super League from its upcoming 11th edition, which is scheduled to start from March 26, 2026. The city names of these two franchises were selected from the six cities shortlisted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), including Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Gilgit, and Muzaffarabad.
After winning the rights of the 7th PSL team, the owner of FSK Group, Mr. Fawad Sarwar, announced that their franchise will represent Hyderabad. Whereas the owner of OZ Developers, Mr. Hamza Majeed, confirmed that their franchise will represent the city of Sialkot after winning the rights of the 8th PSL team.
The legendary left-arm fast bowler of Pakistan and current commentator, Wasim Akram, hosted the auction ceremony. The CEO of Pakistan Super League, Salman Naseer, also joined him on stage. “10 years of PSL have led us to this moment,” PSL CEO Salman Naseer said at the start of the auction process. Wasim Akram persuaded the bidders by reminding them that winning a bid was more than just ownership; it was the ability to design new logos, interact with players, kits of the franchise, and much more.
Ahead of the bidding process, the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mr. Mohsin Naqvi awarded a cash prize of RS. 90 million to Pakistan’s winning team of the Rising Star Asia Cup 2025. Cash prize of RS. 18.5 million was also awarded to Pakistan’s team that won the Hong Kong Sixes 2025 title.

The 8th team was sold to OZ developers (Real Estate Group) in PKR 185 Crore, and they finalized Sialkot as their franchise name. Sialkot is the most expensive team of the HBL PSL after Hyderabad.
