PCB Confirms Auction Date for PSL Multan Sultans Franchise

On Wednesday, 14 January 2026, the PCB Confirms Auction Date for PSL Multan Sultans Franchise ahead of the upcoming 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League 2026. Initially, the Pakistan Cricket Board planned to operate the Multan Sultans franchise itself on a temporary basis after Ali Khan Tareen, the previous owner of the franchise, decided not to renew the Multan Sultans’ ownership agreement with PCB for the period of the next 10 years due to his issues with the board.

PCB planned to sell the franchise of Multan after the PSL-11 2026, but following a successful auction of the two new PSL franchises, the Pakistan Cricket Board now decided to put the Multan franchise on auction before the upcoming 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League. For this purpose, potential buyers have been invited to submit bids for the ownership rights of the franchise by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

30 January 2026 is the deadline for the technical bid set by the PCB for the interested bidders to submit their bids, and the bids will be opened on the same date. The Pakistan Cricket Board also clarified that only a technically qualified bidder will be allowed to participate in the final bidding process. Moreover, the players’ draft was also scheduled to be held on 30th January 2026, announced by the PCB, which is now likely to be rescheduled following the auction schedule of the Multan Franchise.
