Lahore Qalandars renews their agreements for another 10 Years – PSL 11

On Monday 24 November 2025, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced that the franchise rights of Lahore Qalandars, the most valuable team of the Pakistan Super League, is going to be stay with current owners as the existing owners of Lahore Qalandars renews their agreements for another 10 years with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The three times champions as well as the current champions of Pakistan Super League Lahore Qalandars was the second PSL franchise to renew their franchise agreement for next 10 years from 2026 to 2035 with PCB.

Their franchise agreement was done at the market value, determined by Ernst & Young – one of the most respected and credible audit firm, after a transparent and inclusive process of valuation. The financial model was also converted from USD to Pakistani Rupees under the new agreement. The exact renewal fees are not publicly disclosed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Lahore Qalandars (LQ). According to sources, the new annual franchise fee for Lahore Qalandars is 67 Crore PKR (Rs. 670 million) with a notable increase of 55% as compared to their previous annual fees.

With this new renewal fees, the current PSL champion and three times overall champions of Pakistan Super League, Lahore Qalandars is overtaken Karachi Kings and becomes the most expensive franchise of PSL among 5 PSL franchises who renewed their agreement for decade of journey.

Sameen Rana, the owner of the Lahore Qalandars expresses his thoughts in a Tweet on X (formerly known Tweeter), he said “Completing 10 years is a proud moment for the whole Qalandars family. This journey has been built on stability, hard work and clear vision for what we want from Lahore Qalandars to represent. Our ambition is even stronger and our responsibilities are even greater as we step into the next decade.”

Mohsin Naqvi, the PCB Chairman said, “It gives me enormous pleasure that Lahore Qalandars (LQ) will continue to stay with its existing owners for next decade. Sameen Rana and Atif Rana have worked enormously hard to turn this franchise into a household name across Pakistan and a reputable brand around the globe. Their decision is a testament of confidence in the power and pull of the Pakistan Super League.”

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued renewal offer letters to all compliant PSL franchises, providing the details of the revised franchise fees for the upcoming cycle of 10-year from 2026 to 2035 following the completion of the renewal process, and franchises were asked to respond within the stated deadline.

The Pakistan Cricket Board arranged both individual and joint meetings between the independent valuer, Ernst & Young MENA and the officials of franchises to make sure the transparency and provide complete clarity on the valuation process.

The two new franchises are going to be a part of Pakistan Super League from the upcoming 11th edition of Pakistan Super League. With the addition of two new teams, the PSL will have eight teams to compete, which were only 5 in the first two edition of the tournament in 2016 and 2017 whereas the 6th franchise was added in third edition in 2018.
