Peshawar Zalmi Renews Their Agreements for Another 10 Years – PSL 11

One of the most recognizable, influential, and fan-following PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi is going to remain with its existing owners as Peshawar Zalmi renews their agreements for another 10 Years with the Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday 24 November 2025. The champions of 2017 PSL edition Peshawar Zalmi was the second PSL franchise to renew their franchise agreement for next 10 years with Pakistan Cricket Board.

Their franchise agreement was done at the market value which is determined by Ernst & Young after a transparent and comprehensive process of valuation. The financial model was also shifted from US dollars to Pakistani Rupees under the new agreement. The exact renewal fees are not publicly disclosed by the Pakistan Cricket Board and Peshawar Zalmi. According to sources, the new annual renewal fee for Peshawar Zalmi is 49 Crore PKR (Rs. 490 million) with a notable increase of 79% as compared to their previous annual fees.

With this new renewal fees, the champion of 2017 PSL edition, Peshawar Zalmi is now the third most expensive PSL franchise among 5 PSL franchises who renewed their agreement for another 10 years.

The owner of the Peshawar Zalmi Javed Afridi expresses his thoughts in a Tweet on X (formerly known Tweeter), he said “Retaining the franchise for next 10 years is not just a decision, it is a renewal pledge to our people and to every Peshawar Zalmi fan who has stood by us and believed in our vision over the past 10 years. Now as we are going to enter the next decade, our promise will remain unchanged to serve Pakistan, empower its youth and to honor the loyalty that you have shown to us”

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said, “Iam delighted that PZ (Peshawar Zalmi) will continue under the leadership of Mr. Javed Afridi, whose passion, professionalism and commitment have played an essential role in uplifting the Zalmi brand into one of the most admired and dynamic sporting entities in Pakistan. Javed Afridi’s vision has not only strengthened the Zalmi franchise but has also contributed massively to the growth of the Pakistan Super League.

His renewal decision replicates a strong belief in the future potential and continued success of the league. The Pakistan Cricket Board looks forward to building on this partnership as we collectively work towards further development of Pakistan cricket.”

Following the completion of the renewal process, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued renewal offer letters to all acquiescent PSL franchises, providing the details of the revised franchise fees for the upcoming cycle of 10-year and franchises were asked to respond within the stated deadline.

The Pakistan Cricket Board arranged both individual and joint meetings between the officials of franchises and the independent valuer, Ernst & Young MENA to ensure transparency and provide complete clarity on the valuation process.

The Pakistan Super League is going to be bigger from the upcoming 11th edition as two new teams will be a part of the league. With the addition of two new teams, the Pakistan Super League will have 8 teams to compete, which were only five in the first two edition of the tournament in 2016 and 2017 whereas the sixth franchise was added in 2018.
